This has dark cherries and damson on the nose: good definition and nice purity with just a hint of coconut from some unresolved oak. Soft entry, sweet ripe and opulent with chewy tannins, grippy finish but with a bitter edge right at the end. A sweet entry with dark, liquorice fruits, some savoury Cabernet Franc elements coming through with a dry, austere finish. Not bad length. Slightly attenuated on the finish though. Drink now-2013.
